Appropriate Dispute Resolution

As the Resolution Pro and as a managing partner of Mattar, D'Agostino & Gottlieb, LLP, Krista Gottlieb has long recognized that the cost and time expenditure often associated with litigation does not always serve the client's best interests, nor does it meet their needs and preferences.  Ms. Gottlieb constantly seeks new and creative ways to resolve problems quickly and efficiently. Appropriate Dispute Resolution ("ADR"), including mediation, arbitration, early case evaluation mechanisms and mini-trials, are some of the ways to accomplish that goal.

Krista Gottlieb, a partner in the firm since 1989, is not only a successful civil litigator, but also an experienced and active ADR neutral, lecturer and trainer (mostly mediation and arbitration) in business, corporate, commercial and employment matters.  In addition to being a dedicated "issue resolver," Ms. Gottlieb has over 200 hours of formal ADR training and has served as an ADR trainer for lawyers and judges wishing to become mediators and arbitrators.

Additionally, Ms.Gottlieb is a member various mediation and arbitration panels, including the W.D.N.Y. ADR Program, the 8th Judicial District ADR Program (including the Commercial Division), EEOC Panel, NYS Division of Human Rights Panel, AAA and the U.S. Postal Service Redress Mediation Program Panel.  In addition to her advocacy practice, Ms. Gottlieb participates on various advisory/design panels for conflict resolution, mediation, arbitration, program systems designs, as well as the promulgation of a multi-option Federal Court ADR program.  She is also a teacher and lecturer on the topics of ADR, Collaborative Problem Solving, Conflict Resolution processes and an ADR Neutral (especially Mediation) trainer.
